In math the red rhinos created a venn diagram, comparing flowers, pets, and a choice of our own. We also solved story problems. In math the green gators, practiced counting on from the bigger number and we played the quilt game.

In reading workshop, we picked "just right books" for our reading bags. Red Rhinos finished reading "Sheila Ray the Brave," and talked about how characters changed. The Green Gators chose to write about a characteristic of Weberly from the book we read yesterday. In handwriting we practiced the letter "u" and practiced using the handwriting paper. The Red Rhinos also practiced using the handwriting paper. We then read a read-aloud book called "The New Girl and Me" and made connections to our own experiences and other higher level thinking questions.
